Our subspecialty-certified fertility specialists, Bruce Bateman, MD, Laura Smith, MD and Christopher Williams, MD, are members of the Society for Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility which recognizes the highest level of training and certification in both medical and surgical subspecialty infertility care.

We are proud that our in vitro fertilization (IVF) program consistently has high IVF success rates, We strive to maintain and improve those rates every year as we apply new advances in the field, for example preimplantation genetic diagnosis (PGS) and a “freeze all” approach to all embryo transfers.

 We provide egg banking for social reasons, and we are partnered with the University of Virginia, Departments of Obstetrics and Gynecology and Urology, as the regional center for fertility preservation for cancer patients- both male and females who wish to bank eggs or sperm before chemotherapy or radiation which may affect future fertility. We also a surgery center of excellence offering all levels of complex, minimally invasive surgery to assist conception, and we are one of a few referral centers in the nation, and receive patients from all over the country, for a unique micro-surgery called outpatient tubal ligation reversal.

Our clinic provides services in a convenient location and in an environment of personalized care, understanding and compassion. Our fertility specialists and staff are truly invested in each patient’s personal well-being and success. One of the missions of our center is education. This extends to both our couples and obstetrics and gynecology residents from the University of Virginia. All three physicians are active faculty members at the University of Virginia School of Medicine and we help teach physicians-in-training and support university-wide research in reproductive medicine.
