The following graphs are our combined data from 2016 and 2017 at the Reproductive Medicine and Surgery Center of Virginia (RMSCVA) compared to the National Average of member clinics within the Society for Assisted Reproductive Technology (SART) average for 2016.SART is a national voluntary organization that represents approximately 90% of the Assisted Reproduction clinics in the United States. More information can be found at their website.
A comparison of clinic success rates may not be meaningful because patient medical characteristics, treatment approaches and entrance criteria for ART may vary from clinic to clinic.
Percent of egg retrievals that resulted in live birth after the first transfer attempt. Can result from fresh or frozen embryo transfer. At RMSCVA the majority are frozen. Number of patients (N) in each group as follows: <35(176), 35-37(71), 38-40(41); 41-42(24). Includes PGT and non-PGT patients.

The average number of embryos transferred in the first attempt following an egg retrieval. Note that for all age groups this number is <2 at RMSCVA. At RMSVA we have achieved above average success rates while transferring fewer embryos. In all age groups this number is <2 at RMSCVA. Our goal is healthy moms and healthy babies, not simply high pregnancy rates.
