Meet Our Administrative Staff

Jody Halloran

Practice Administrator
Jody Halloran was born in Asheville, North Carolina and has lived in Charlottesville for 24 years. She is married and a mother of two children. Jody completed her Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration in May 2014. Jody has been with the Reproductive Medicine practice for a total of 20 years and thoroughly enjoys interacting closely with patients and the staff. She has extensive experience in administrative management and accounting. Jody has also obtained her Certified Professional Coding certification. Her passion at RMSCVA is to make sure that customer service is at the highest level possible. Jody's organization and customer service skills allow her to manage the RMSCVA staff so that your experience will be the best that it can be.

Michele Eavey

Billing Analyst
Michele Eavey was born in Staunton and grew up in Highland County. Michele has over 10 years of experience in the medical field. She resides in Staunton with her husband and two children. Other interests include traveling, scrapbooking, reading and gardening.

Melinda Lucas

Front Desk Coordinator
Melinda Lucas is the Front Desk Coordinator for Reproductive Medicine and Surgery Center of Virginia. She was born and raised in Madison County and then attended the University of Virginia’s College of Wise for Paramedic Science. She is the proud mom of 2 boys and 1 girl. Melinda joined our team in June of 2018. Melinda was a previous patient at RMSCVA and loves being able to relate and work with patients to make them feel welcomed and appreciated. Outside of work, Melinda loves spending time with her family through traveling, outdoor activities, or being her son’s #1 football fan. She is an avid foodie and loves to discover new places to dine. She is excited for her journey with RMSCVA.

Jocelyn Paige

Administrative Team Lead and Insurance Coordinator
Jocelyn Paige is the Administrative Team Lead and Insurance Coordinator for Reproductive Medicine and Surgery Center of Virginia. She was born in Charlottesville and grew up in the beautiful County of Nelson.  She is the proud parent of 3 daughters.  Jocelyn joined our team in December 2005 and has been a friendly smile for our patients. She enjoys getting to know the patients and making them feel like family while in our care. Outside of work Jocelyn enjoys reading, shopping and spending time with her family.

Jenna Woodyard

Insurance Coordinator
Jenna Woodyard is the Insurance Coordinator for Reproductive Medicine and Surgery Center of Virginia. She was raised in Buckingham County and then attended Longwood where she received her Bachelor’s degree in Business Management in August of 2014. Jenna is very family oriented as well as loves spending time at the beach. She enjoys outdoor activities such as four-wheeler riding, hiking, hunting, etc.  She has enjoyed making RMSCVA her new family.

Meet Our Clinic Nursing Staff

Keri Byers-Keegan, RN

Keri Byers-Keegan, RN has lived in Greene County, VA all her life.  She’s been in the medical field for 8½ years.  She joins RMSCVA with a strong background in Gastroenterology and infectious diseases.  She is a mom and a wife and enjoys spending time with family.  She also loves being a basketball, softball, and horse show mom.  One of her favorite things to do is to ride horses.  They have four Tennessee Walking Horses that they show and trail ride.

Peggy Cleveland, RN

Peggy Cleveland, RN is a native of Virginia.  She was educated and received her degree in Nursing in Florida where she began her career as an Operating Room Nurse in 1976.  In 2001, Peggy joined the staff of the Virginia Ambulatory Surgery Center (now the University of Virginia Outpatient Surgery Center) where she began working with Dr. Bruce Bateman and served as Head of Service for GYN at the facility.  In 2005, she relocated to the Martha Jefferson Outpatient Surgery Center where she assisted in the establishment of a GYN service at the Surgery Center and worked with Dr. Bateman and Dr. Christopher Williams in surgery and in the development of the RMSCVA procedure room.  After over 30 years of operating room nursing, Peggy has joined the team at RMSCVA to continue what she loves to do – work with great people and provide meaningful service to others.  Peggy enjoys the outdoors, spending time with family, and serving in her church.

Brittany Painter, CNA, CMA

Brittany Painter, CNA, CMA joined the Reproductive Medicine and Surgery Center family in the summer of 2015.  She was born in Augusta County where she still resides with her 2 children. She has worked in the medical field for over 10 years and is currently pursuing her Bachelors in nursing. Outside of work Brittany enjoys spending time with her kids and doing all kinds of outdoor activities such as hunting, fishing, camping, etc.

Meet Our IVF Nursing Staff

Stephanie Barrix, RN

Stephanie Barrix, RN graduated with a Bachelor's of Science in Nursing from Waynesburg University in Pennsylvania. She has 8 years experience as a Labor and Delivery Nurse and spent 2 years of her nursing career as a Nursing Supervisor of an Endoscopy Center. Stephanie is married and has a daughter. Outside of work Stephanie enjoys spending time with her family, the outdoors and shopping.

Brittany Hundley, RN

Brittany Hundley, RN moved to Charlottesville in 2010 to attend the University of Virginia School of Nursing. Since graduating, she has worked as a labor and delivery nurse. Britt enjoys attending UVA basketball games, spending time with her golden retriever, Malcolm, and relaxing with a nice cup of coffee.

Tara Snow, RN

Tara Snow, RN was born and raised in Greene County, VA where she still resides with her husband Travis, daughter Kamdyn, and two dogs, Shadow and Maci. Tara graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing from Eastern Mennonite university in Harrisonburg, VA. She has 3.5 years of experience as a labor and delivery nurse at UVA Health System.  Prior to pursuing her nursing career, Tara obtained her Bachelors in Social Work from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, VA, and worked as a long term care social worker in Charlottesville, VA. As a former patient of RMSCVA, Tara feels like she can emotionally connect with patients and that her experience will help in the quality of care she can add to the team.  Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, going to the beach, shopping, and being a “pageant mom.”  Tara joined our practice in 2018 and is excited to be working with such a wonderful team of individuals who truly care about each and every patient.

Meet Our Laboratory Staff

Dr. Scott Purcell

Laboratory Director
Dr. Scott Purcell is the Laboratory Director for the Reproductive Medicine and Surgery Center.  As Laboratory Director Dr. Purcell oversees the daily quality control and function of the RMSCVA Embryology, Andrology, and Endocrinology laboratories.  He is board-certified as a High Complexity Clinical Laboratory Director (HCLD) and as a Technical Supervisor (TS) in both Embryology and Andrology by the American Board of Bioanalysis (ABB).  Prior to joining RMSCVA, Dr. Purcell spent three and half years at Dallas-Ft. Worth Fertility Associates, as part of the Embryology team at the largest fertility clinic in the Dallas-Ft. Worth area. Dr. Purcell grew up near Richmond, VA and received both his B.S. and M.S. at Virginia Tech.  He received his Ph.D. from the Biomedical Sciences Department at Colorado State University then completed a three-year postdoctoral fellowship in the Ob/Gyn Department at Washington University in St. Louis.   As a graduate student and fellow, Dr. Purcell published numerous articles in peer-reviewed scientific journals on mammalian reproductive biology.  Dr. Purcell is an active member of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine and the College of Reproductive Biology of the ABB. He is married with two children and enjoys spending time outside with his family as well as fishing, reading, and traveling.

Kayla Cook

Kayla Cook joined the Reproductive Medicine and Surgery Center team in July 2016. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from Virginia Tech. During her time there she volunteered in a bovine reproductive lab. She grew up in Chesapeake, Virginia and is a proud pet mom of a Yorkie and a domestic short hair cat. Outside of the lab she enjoys spending time outdoors, watching movies, and hanging out with friends.

Jessica Rebert

Jessica Rebert was born and raised in Long Island, New York.  Her travels took her to Pennsylvania where she earned a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Small Animal Science from Delaware Valley College, and to Phoenix, AZ where she began her reproductive laboratory career at the Mayo Clinic in 2001.  Jessica joined the Assisted Reproduction Program at the University of Virginia in 2002 and made the transition with Drs. Bateman, Williams and Thomas to Martha Jefferson Hospital in 2005.  In 2012 Jessica earned her Masters of Science degree in Andrology and Embryology from Eastern Virginia Medical School and has continued her career with the Reproductive Medicine and Surgery Center of Virginia.  Jessica and her husband are the proud parents of two children.

Jackie Sorrentino

Andrologist & Laboratory Technician
Jackie Sorrentino, was born in Arizona and grew up on military bases around the US with her roots in Roanoke, VA. She graduated from Mary Washington College in Fredericksburg, VA with a BS in Biology and has over ten years of laboratory experience in a variety of settings. Jackie moved to Charlottesville in 2013 with her husband and three children and enjoys the outdoors, hiking, and reading. While she has been with RMSCVA part time since 2016, she joined our team on a full time basis in 2018.

Meet Our Procedure Room Nurses

Ali Chisholm, RN

Ali Chisholm, RN is originally from Maryland and moved to Charlottesville in 2015 to begin her nursing career at UVA. She spent 2 years in labor and delivery/women's health and now works in the emergency department. She graduated with a nursing degree from Shenandoah university in 2014 following her dairy science degree from Virginia Tech in 2012...go Hokies! In her free time, she enjoys    being outside and spending time exploring the Charlottesville area.

Alisha Coleman, RN

Alisha Coleman, RN earned her degree and Associates in Applied Science from PVCC in 2008 and a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing from UVA in 2014. Alisha started her nursing career at Martha Jefferson in Telemetry then developed an interest to do Home Health Care. Desiring to go back to school, she transferred to UVA and worked for 5 years in Pain Management doing procedures. After leaving Pain Management, she was part of establishing the UVA Pediatric Physical Medicine & Rehab clinic at the battle building earning a certification in Rehabilitation Nursing.  As a nurse she also has experience in Urology and Orthopedics. Originally from Michigan, Alisha moved to VA at the age of 8 in 1991. She married her husband David (born and raised in Charlottesville, VA) in October 2016 and they enjoy raising their 3 children; Josephine, age 9, and 15 month old twins Cecelia and Sawyer here in VA. Outside of work, she loves spending time with her family, exercising and doing activities that allow her to grow in her faith.

Anne Luniewski, RN

Anne Luniewski, RN joined RMSCVA's staff in 2018.  She attended Virginia Tech and earned her Bachelor of Science in Finance in 2002, then attended PVCC and earned her Associate Degree in Nursing in 2012.  Born and raised in Grundy, VA, she currently lives in Fluvanna County and is married with two kids, two dogs, and a cat.  Outside of work, Anne enjoys spending time with family and friends, cooking, reading, traveling, and volunteering.

Barbara Sauer, RN

Barbara Sauer, RN earned a Bachelor’s in Science in Nursing at the University of Virginia in 1994 after previously earning a Bachelor’s in Science in Animal Science from Purdue University in 1980.   A native of Indiana, she, her husband and two children moved to Virginia in 1989.  Barb worked as a pediatric nurse at UVA for 12+ years before making the transition to Reproductive Medicine.   Outside of work, Barb enjoys spending time with her grandchildren, running, reading, church activities, baking and being the #1 fan of Virginia Rowing.   She truly enjoys the patients and "team" that make Reproductive Medicine such a wonderful place to work.

Judy Smith, RN

Judy Smith, RN holds an Associate’s Degree in Allied Health Nursing and has been practicing for 35 years.  Certified in the Operating Room for 25 years, she and her husband recently relocated to Virginia in 2018.  Judy is a New Jersey native where she grew up, received her degree and worked in reproductive medicine part of her career.  She has one grown married son.  She enjoys making stained glass windows and singing in a local Oratorio Society in her spare time.
